There are books that need time to take their rightful place. Books that are masterful and important for Bulgarian literature, whose unconventionality, depth and stylistic beauty remain insufficiently appreciated in the general noise and in the hectic moment of their publication. “Second Premiere” aims to shed light on two such books, to initiate a new reading and dialogue with a new audience. Because “small” literatures have no right to miss out on books of high quality. And as a resistance against the terror of the topicality.

Nikolay Boykov (1968, Vidin) is the author of the poetry collections Metaphysics (2000), Poems with Biography (2003), Declared in Love, handmade (2005), and 101 Dedications (2019), The Book of Life (2010), the novel “Верно на оригиналот” (True to the Original, 2024) and others. He is also a traslator from Hungarian and Macedonian.
The novel “Pisma do Petar” (Letters to Petаr) was published in Bulgarian by Janet 45 Publishing House in 2006.

Silvia Choleva (1959, Sofia) is the author of six poetry collections, three plays, two books of fragments and a collection of short stories. One of the founders of the DA Poetry Publishing House.
The novel “Green and Gold” was published in Bulgarian by Janet 45 Publishing House in 2010.

Iana Bukova (1968, Sofia) is the author of five poetry collections, two collections of short prose and the novel “Traveling in the Direction of the Shadow”. She translates from ancient and modern languages. She writes critical and theoretical texts on contemporary poetics and literature.

Iliya Gramatikov is a professor of Music history at the National Academy of Music “Prof. Pancho Vladigerov”. He is the author of three extensive monographs and numerous studies and articles. His scientific works are mainly on contemporary music.
