The war is a topic of many literary works and exactly the literary texts will lead us to the first event of the Literary Talks' summer programme - the interactive installation "Shelters", which will be located in the Underground Hall for two days. The audience will be invited to a place where are exhibited all possessions that sustain personal peace in the face of emergency - items we keep to remember our sanity. Shelters can be a hiding place, a safe space, but they are also the spot where an unpredictable and violent event like war can throw us. Each person from the audience will have the opportunity to join in by leaving their own list of those belongings-shelters and safe hideouts. These sharings will not simulate the state of war, but exactly the opposite - they will be an attempt to see the material items that keep the peace. The opening of "Shelters" will begin on June 24, at 7:30 pm, from the Lobby of Sfumato Theatre, right after the performance "Time Loving" based on the novel by Georgi Gospodinov - "Time Shelter", which the director Vasilena Radeva is making together with students from the Theatre Department of New Bulgarian University. At 6:00 pm that play will start the "Small Season" at the Sfumato Theatre.
